Atelier Sophie 2 Goes Gold Ahead of February Launch

Koei Tecmo has announced that their upcoming turn-based synthesis JRPG, Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream, has gone gold ahead of its February 25, 2022 release date. When a title goes gold, that essentially means work on it has completely finished before launch.

You can view the tweet initially announcing this news below. Sophie does a cute little dance:

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream continues the adventure of Sophie and Plachta, who have traveled on many adventures. After leaving Sophie’s hometown of Kirchen Bell, the two stumble across a tree that Plachta has seen in her dream. Upon inspection, they are pulled into a vortex, and Sophie wakes up in a world called Erde Widege, and here’s someone calling for Plachta; however, it’s not her friend Plachta, but a young alchemist with the same name. I’m sure you can see where this is going.

Further, NISA America is hosting a limited edition that includes an art book, deluxe fabric poster, keychain, bonus BGM CD, and an exclusive DLC costume, all packaged into a beautiful collector’s box.

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream is coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam on February 25, 2022.
