Atelier Sophie 2 Confirms Bathing Suit Costumes and Tales of Arise Collab

Koei Tecmo revealed some extra details about the upcoming costumes that players can expect from Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream. 

The publisher hosted a special live stream where they previewed gameplay and showed off some of the various mechanics that have been added to the game. Further, the developer shares how the game retains some of its classic features and even features a turn-based battle system.

However, we’re only here for the costumes. The team has confirmed that bathing suit costumes will be available for all characters. The publisher further shared that a special collaboration will take place with Tales of Aris, the newest entry in that series. More information about the collaboration will be revealed later, but we’re expecting costumes to be the biggest inclusion.

Costumes can also be unlocked if you have played the previous Atelier games and have Save Data on your console.

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream continues the adventure of Sophie and Plachta who have traveled on many new adventures. After leaving Sophie’s hometown of Kirchen Bell, the two stumble across a tree that Plachta has seen in her dream. Upon inspection, they are pulled into a vortex, and Sophie wakes up in a world called Erde Widege, and here’s someone calling for Plachta, however, it’s not her friend Plachta, but a young alchemist with the same name. I’m sure you can see where this is going.

Further, NISA America will host a limited edition that includes, an art book, deluxe fabric poster, keychain, bonus BGM CD, and an exclusive DLC costume all packaged into a beautiful collector’s box.

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream is coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam on February 25, 2022.
