I’ll be the first to admit that Japan often receives things first that I would enjoy. The most recent addition to this is the Famitsu exclusive Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout premium box set.
Available for pre-order now, with both a PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch version available, fans will be able to purchase this limited edition for 19,980 Yen (about $190 USD). However, its what is in this set that will make any western Atelier fan question if they have the funds to import.
The limited-edition includes:
- PS4/Switch version of the game
- B2 Tapestry
- An acrylic panel of the main visual
- Clear files
- 3D Crystal of Ryza
Now, it’s the 3D Crystal here that has me the most excited and online store Ebten gives fans a closer look. The Crystal itself isn’t too big or too small coming in at about 50 x 80 x 50mm. It features the main visual of Ryza and the logo of the game and takes 3 AA batteries to power up its LED stand. This allows owners to view the crystal from any angle, giving Ryza a 3D look.
Atelier Ryza tells the story of a new character in the Atelier series, Ryzalin, a typical everyday girl who has become bored with her mundane lifestyle. After meeting someone special, she discovers alchemy and her whole life changes. She then sets out on an adventure that she never thought she’d go on.
Atelier Ryza is aiming to be graphically better than any of the Atelier titles in the past. While there won’t be any romance in the game, players will be able to experience a bittersweet story that resembles summer memories.
Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout is coming to PS4, Switch, and PC in the west on October 29.
