UPDATE: Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & The Secret Key Reveals New Characters, Areas & Screenshots

Developer Gust has announced that Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & The Secret Key will share new information today, October 13, 2022, Japan time. Fans will be introduced to three new characters, explorable regions, and this entry’s enhanced sense of adventure.

As of the time of this writing, it only became October 13 in Japan less than an hour ago, so this new information may be delivered on October 14 here in the West. Regardless, we’ll provide coverage for these announcements when they arrive.

This adventure will house various familiar actions from the previous entries, such as climbing and swimming, though Ryza can now also summon a water beast to climb waterfalls and use ziplines. Additionally, animals can lead her to treasure chests and grant her materials. Landmarks will now function as fast travel points as well.

Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & The Secret Key is releasing for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on February 24, 2023.

Lead writer Yashichiro Takahashi has returned to write this third entry. Taking place a year after Ryza 2, the titular protagonist and her friends discover newly appearing islands, called the Kark Isles, near their home of Kurken Island. The party decides to investigate these mysterious happenings but ends up finding a gate within some ruins, with a voice wanting to lead Ryza to the Code of the Universe.

Four regions will be explorable in an open field, all boasting seamless transitions. Keys will also be found and created; they all have unique effects for synthesis, battle, and exploration. Moreover, a total of 11 party members are confirmed.
