Atelier Ryza 2 Gameplay Shows Tactical Battle System Where Players Control Four Characters at Once
Koei Tecmo has launched a new gameplay trailer for the Gust-developed adventure RPG, Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam on January 26, 2021.
The trailer highlights the game’s updated battle system, where players will take on a more tactical approach with a blend of fast passed action. The system allows players to switch between party members to continue attacks and execute large combos using each character’s abilities. Looking at a character’s action order, players can activate individual skills as they build towards using the Fatal Drive technique to finish off the opponent.
Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy takes place after the events of Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, which shipped 420,000 copies worldwide. Atelier Ryza tells the story of a new character in the Atelier series, Ryzalin, a typical everyday girl who has become bored with her mundane lifestyle. After meeting someone special, she discovers alchemy, and her whole life changes. She then sets out on an adventure that she never thought she’d go on.
