Atelier Ryza 2 Photo Mode Gameplay Shows How You Can Pose Characters and Edit Scenes

Koei Tecmo released a new gameplay trailer for the Gust-developed adventure RPG, Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam on January 26, 2021.

The video highlights the game’s photo mode, added in the first entry through an update. Now, players will be able to pose and position Ryza across multiple scenes. Additional characters can be added to the scene, and various options such as time of day and depth of field can be adjusted. There are also ways to add filters, NPCs, and enemies to the scene.

Additionally, the video highlights the Puni mini-game where players can feed their Puni companion and watch it grow into different colored Punis depending on what they feed it. Over time, players can also edit their Atelier to make it feel more like home. This includes added furniture and changing the wallpaper and flooring.

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy takes place after the events of Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, which shipped 420,000 copies worldwide. Atelier Ryza tells the story of a new character in the Atelier series, Ryzalin, a typical everyday girl who has become bored with her mundane lifestyle. After meeting someone special, she discovers alchemy and her whole life changes. She then sets out on an adventure that she never thought she’d go on.
