Koei Tecmo launched gameplay for the Gust-developed adventure RPG, Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC this Winter.
The gameplay gives players a look at the upcoming adventure and the new challenges that Ryza will encounter with her friends. Returning is the synthesis features from previous Atelier games, but players are now able to swim and even travel around quicker riding a monster.
Atelier Ryza 2 will also take place in a new town where she will embark on a new adventure three years after the events of the first title. Ryza’s journey will lead her to the Royal Capital of Ashra-am Baird where she will explore ancient ruins and learn the truth of lost legends.
In terms of returning characters, players will see a return of Klaudia, who has been working in the Royal Capital. She now finds her fate entertained with Ryza’s once again and sets out with her friend. Additionally, a mysterious creature known as Fi joins the group. Fi doesn’t speak but is full of expressive emotion and helps Ryza.
Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy takes place after the events of Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, which shipped 420,000 copies worldwide. Atelier Ryza tells the story of a new character in the Atelier series, Ryzalin, a typical everyday girl who has become bored with her mundane lifestyle. After meeting someone special, she discovers alchemy, and her whole life changes. She then sets out on an adventure that she never thought she’d go on.
