Atelier Ryza 2 Confirmed for PS5 Release; Making the Thic Adventure the First on Next-Gen Consoles

Koei Tecmo has confirmed that the Gust-developed adventure RPG, Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, will launch on PlayStation 5, alongside the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC release this Winter.

The publisher announced that the game will be coming to next-generation hardware, but hasn’t detailed any updates surrounding the updated version. At this time, we aren’t completely sure how the game will differ graphically from the other versions, but it will be the first entry in the series available on next-generation hardware.

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy takes place after the events of Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, which shipped 420,000 copies worldwide. Atelier Ryza tells the story of a new character in the Atelier series, Ryzalin, a typical everyday girl who has become bored with her mundane lifestyle. After meeting someone special, she discovers alchemy, and her whole life changes. She then sets out on an adventure that she never thought she’d go on.
