Atelier Rorona DX, Atelier Totori DX, and Atelier Meruru DX Shows Gameplay in New Trailer

Koei Tecmo launched the first trailer for the upcoming releases in the Atelier franchise, Atelier Rorona DX, Atelier Totori DX, and Atelier Meruru DX, coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on September 20 in Japan.

The trailer briefly details each of the three titles by showing the characters, battles, and story scenarios. In the trailers in tough to see what has been updated visually, but the games will come packed with extra bonuses and DLC costumes for players to enjoy.

Atelier Rorona DX, Atelier Totori DX, and Atelier Meruru DX make up the Arland trilogy, which were each originally released in the west on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, granted they didn’t have updated visuals and mechanics featured in the DX release.

Each title follows a different Alchemist on her quest to become a master alchemist. Each game will feature a different main protagonists, who, out of their respective title, will appear in the other games as playable characters.

Currently, there is no word of whether or not the game will be coming to the west.

In case you missed it, you can check out some new screenshots from each of the titles that were recently released.

You can watch the new gameplay video below:

Author’s take: The Arland trilogy tells one of the better story arcs in the series. After each trilogy seemed to try a mimic the characters and situations found in Arland, but with updated systems. Let’s hope this re-release will act as a farewell for the developers so they can create a brand new Alchemist experience, like what they tried in Firis.
