The Original Atelier Marie Plus: The Alchemist of Salburg to be Included in Digital Deluxe Edition in the West; Features Full English Text Option

Koei Tecmo has confirmed that Atelier Marie Plus: The Alchemist of Salburg will be included in the Digital Deluxe Edition of Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on July 13, 2023.

Atelier Marie Plus: The Alchemist of Salburg was released in 1998 as an updated version of the original game that includes new events and material upgrades.

Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg is the first title in the Atelier franchise, initially available on PlayStation 1 before seeing Sega Saturn, PC, Dreamcast, PlayStation 2, and mobile ports. The debut entry follows the titular protagonist, who’s the worst in her class and is in danger of failing, but she’s given a chance to pass if she can produce an exceptional item within five years of receiving her own Atelier.

Gameplay has the same elements future entries would utilize, such as gathering ingredients, interacting with townsfolk, and performing battles. Of course, there are notable differences, and this incoming remake appears to be taking liberties.

Currently, this game is only available digitally, but an English physical release is available for import.
