Astria Ascending to Feature J-Ster Mini-Game; Similar to Triple Triad and Tetra Master From Final Fantasy Series
Dear Villagers released a new trailer for the Artisan Studios-developed JRPG Astria Ascending, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam on September 30, 2021.
The developer has revealed an in-game mini-game that players can invest their time into called J-Ster. Given that this title is being developed by Final Fantasy veteran developers Kazushige Nojima and Hitoshi Sakimoto, J-Ster follows other mini-games such as Triple Triad and Tetra Master.
J-Ster is a strategic combat game where players attempt to steal an opponent’s tokens and grow the collectible army. J-Ster is mainly just a pastime to enjoy through gameplay as players can challenge characters across the game.
Astria Ascending is a hand-drawn adventure JRPG featuring over 50 hours of gameplay across five different cities and more than 20 dungeons. Players will pick from eight characters, each with their own unique race and skill, to create a party that must sacrifice everything to save the world. There are 20 classes to choose from and various skills to customize each character with. The adventure also features over 200 different monsters to take on through turn-based combat, but to help with this, players can summon legendary creatures to fight for them.
