Indie Co-op Adventure ‘Asterix & Obelix XXL3: The Crystal Menhir’ Releases Later This Month

The famous Gaul’s duo is back for another round of action-centric gameplay, and with it comes the highly requested cooperative mode.

The Osome-developed indie adventure Asterix & Obelix XXL3: The Crystal Menhir releases on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC-via Steam on November 21.

Asterix & Obelix XXL3: The Crystal Menhir is set in a small village where everything is peaceful until the druid Getafix receives a later that find Asterix and Obelix on a new adventure. With the reward being a treasure, the two travel with the mysterious crystal “Menhir” as they must face some dangerous situations.

According to Micoids, the game aims to please long-time fans of the franchise and new ones alike. Explorer a familiar world across an immersive adventure with battles, side quests, and in-game collectibles. The most interesting feature is the local co-op split-screen feature that will be a perfect reason to reunite friends and family for the holidays.  Fan-favorite characters such as Getafix, Cacofonix, and Vitalstatistix are back, as well as many others created exclusively for the game.

Two special editions will be available upon release: The Limited Edition includes the full game and 2 figurines of Asterix and Obelix. While the Collector Edition contains the full game, a 15cm resin figurine of Obelix and Dogmatix and 2 small figurines of Asterix and Obelix.
