Dangen Entertainment released a new trailer for the LABS Works-developed retro adventure Astalon: Tears of The Earth, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch PC-via Steam in 2021.
The trailer highlights characters and environments from the adventure and some of the bosses players will encounter along the way. This trailer’s biggest announcement is that the game was first announced to be released in 2019 but has since been delayed to 2021.
Astalon: Tears of The Earth follows three explorers who are wandering through a post-apocalyptic desert to find a way to save the people of their village. Evidently, there just so happens to be a pretty suspicious tower coming up from the depths of the Earth that might hold some answers.
One of the heroes has made a pact with the Titan of Death, Epimetheus, allowing them to reincarnate until they have accomplished their mission. So, now it’s up to the skills of the player to save the village.
The game mimics what fans of retro action-platformer would easily recognize but also has its own unique features. Each character has unique skills to use while fighting through the hordes of enemies in the tower.
Furthermore, players can collect items and explore new ways to get through the tower by changing the rules and embracing death, allowing characters to be strengthened. Additionally, the game features puzzles in the tower that will open new routes to explore.
