Classic Mecha Action Game ‘Assault Suits Valken Declassified’ Comes to Switch Next Month “Unedited and Uncensored”

Rainmaker Production announced they will publish Assault Suits Valken Declassified to release on Nintendo Switch on March 30, 2023.

Assault Suits Valken Declassified is being described as the unedited and uncensored localization project of the Super Famicom and SNES mecha game released in 1992, Assault Suits Valken. This version will be a re-release of that title with a recreated and translated version of the original 80-page guidebook, along with new artwork from the series.

While Assault Suits Valken was given a Western release back in the 90s as Cybernator, this version was heavily edited and censored, meaning English-speaking gamers have never been able to appreciate the game fully — until now,” said Joseph Chou, CEO. “Assault Suits Valken Declassified aims to correct that oversight by not only offering a faithful and uncompromised localization of the original game, but also new artwork from character designer Satoshi Urushihara and an exclusive interview with Satoshi Nakai, the previously unknown designer of game’s titular mecha.”

Players assume the role of soldier Jake Brain as they pilot a mech through challenging 2D run-and-gun missions. The goal? Oh, just a simple quest of destroying the opposing government’s more powerful weapon known as Bildvorg. No big deal.
