2D Action Shooter ‘Assault Suit Leynos 2 Saturn Tribute’ Revealed in Trailer for Global Launch in 2024

City Connection released a new trailer revealing they will publish action 2D-Action side-scroller Assault Suit Leynos 2 Saturn Tribute on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in 2024 for a worldwide release.

Assault Suit Leynos 2 Saturn Tribute is a remastered release of the 1997 action game where players can customize mechs and take them in 2D combat. Players assume the role of a mech pilot who climbs into the cockpit of an anthropomorphic robot called an Assault Suit. Players have the option to customize the weapons and equipment across various stages and missions.

This version of the game features a rewind option to keep playing, even after a mistake, and a quick load/save option to get in and out of the action swiftly during a mission.

Assault Suit Leynos 2 Saturn Tribute capitalizes on the charm of the original game while introducing new enhancements. Players pilot their mech, armed with jet boosts, dashes, and shields, similar to its predecessor. However, in this tribute, upgrades are earned as players progress, adding a sense of achievement. Before each battle, players can customize their mech with items obtained throughout the game, with a total of 50 weapons to choose from. Notably, the game offers options to tweak the mech’s speed, maneuverability, and protective shields. Furthermore, special upgrade devices are available, allowing players to fine-tune characteristics like aiming and radar systems, enhancing their strategic capabilities.

One standout feature is the dynamic camera system. The in-game camera intuitively zooms in and out to adjust the level of detail on screen, a practical feature, particularly when facing formidable foes.
