Assassin’s Creed 15th Anniversary Info – Valhalla Rogue-lite Game Mode Teased & More

During today’s Assassin’s Creed 15th Anniversary Celebration broadcast, Ubisoft shared a look at Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s The Forgotten Saga; a new rogue-lite game mode players can look forward to this Summer. Further, the last chapter of Eivor’s story, the protagonist of Valhalla, will be arriving near the end of this year as a free update for all players.

Moreover, as part of the Discover Age program, where users can explore and experience the historically crafted worlds of the franchise, a standalone version of Discovery Tour Viking Age has been released on all platforms today. Ubisoft is also teaming up with McGill University in Canada to create educational guides to better immerse students and staff within these eras, including the Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece Discovery Ages.

Finally, the franchise’s future will be unveiled in September during a special event.

The stream where these announcements occurred can be viewed below:

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s story stars Eivor and his Viking raider, driven from Norway due to war and low on resources. It is up to him to lead a clan across the North Sea to find a new home, no matter the cost. Combat includes the use of a hidden blade, dual-wielding axes, swords, and shields against “ the most varied collection of deadly enemies ever found in an Assassin’s Creed game.”

Players can also launch massive assaults against Saxon troops and fortresses. Or set surprise attack from longship to take over enemy territory to regain land and resources. From there, construct and upgrade buildings including barracks, blacksmiths, or tattoo parlors. Online modes have players customize raiders, join clans, and play alongside friends.
