Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Allows You to Dual-Wield Any Weapons, Including Shields; Release Date Revealed

During Ubisoft Forward, the publisher revealed new details and gameplay about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC November 17. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X to come soon after.

The gameplay showed off a siege of the Viking invasion of England. Players will travel across the North Sea to the British Isles. The boats that players have access to are known as longships, which players can use to raid small settlements along the shoreline. The resources and materials gained will be used to build up your home.

However, there are strong enemies that aim to put a stop to you. These enemies do have weaknesses though that may require some trial and error. Players can also dual-wield weapons and stun enemies.

Players can also sneak around town to use their assassin abilities.

Valhalla’s story stars Eivor and his Viking raider, driven from Norway due to war and low on resources. It is up to him to lead a clan across the North Sea to find a new home, no matter the cost. Combat includes the use of a hidden blade, dual-wielding axes, swords, and shields against “ the most varied collection of deadly enemies ever found in an Assassin’s Creed game.”

Players can also launch massive assaults against Saxon troops and fortresses. Or set surprise attack from longship to take over enemy territory to regain land and resources. From there, construct and upgrade buildings including barracks, blacksmith, or tattoo parlor. Online modes have players customize raiders, join clans, and play alongside friends.
