Eivor’s Fate is Revealed in Newest Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Trailer
Ubisoft released new details and gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17, with a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X release soon after.
The trailer highlights the main character, Eivor, who is a Norse Viking raider about to sail to England with their clan in search of a new home. However, Eivor plays a much bigger role as he begins to realize his fate and his place in the world. Eivor will have to lose much of what he loves to gain his desires, which will be unraveled throughout the narrative.
Beginning tomorrow, July 17, fans will be able to list to a seven-son EP with tracks from the official soundtrack. The EP will be available on Spotify and purchasable on iTunes.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s story stars Eivor and his Viking raider, driven from Norway due to war and low on resources. It is up to him to lead a clan across the North Sea to find a new home, no matter the cost. Combat includes the use of a hidden blade, dual-wielding axes, swords, and shields against “ the most varied collection of deadly enemies ever found in an Assassin’s Creed game.”
Players can also launch massive assaults against Saxon troops and fortresses. Or set surprise attack from longship to take over enemy territory to regain land and resources. From there, construct and upgrade buildings including barracks, blacksmith, or tattoo parlor. Online modes have players customize raiders, join clans, and play alongside friends.
