Ubisoft has officially announced the next entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which will be released on November 15, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Additionally, those who are subscribed to Ubisoft Premium+ or purchase the game’s Gold or Ultimate Editions can enjoy three days of early access.
Alongside a premiere trailer, another video was posted highlighting the game’s two selectable protagonists, the Japanese shinobi Naoe and the real-life historical samurai Yasuke.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows occurs in 16th century Japan during the Azuchi-Momoyama era. In this era of the late Sengoku period, these two main characters have a common destiny ahead of a new era for Japan. This entry will feature changing seasons, reactive environments, and unpredictable weather.
During gameplay, Naoe will use stealth to avoid detection while boasting agility. On the other hand, Yasuke embraces power and precision. Both characters’ progression will be independent. Further, you will be able to build a network of spies, recruit allies, and create a customizable hideout.
Pre-orders are now available, with the standard edition costing $69.99. The Gold Edition for $109.99 grants the Season Pass, while the $129.99 Ultimate Edition provides the same content alongside the Ultimate Pack.
The Season Pass will include a bonus quest at launch and two expansions. Moreover, the Ultimate Pack will include the following:
- The Sekiryu Character Pack including gear and weapon sets for both Naoe and Yasuke, the Sekiryu Beast, and Dragon Tooth trinket.
- The Sekiryu Hideout Pack including four unique ornaments to customize the hideout for your shinobi league.
- Five skill points.
- The Red Dragon filter in Photo mode.
The pre-order bonus, comprised of the in-game quest ” Thrown to the Dogs,” will be part of every version.
