Flyway Games has released a major demo update for its action roguelike Ascend to ZERO on Steam alongside the launch of the ZERO Rush Challenge, a limited-time community competition.
The updated demo and leaderboard event are available now through June 26, 2026, at 12 AM PT. Participants can compete for a place in the top 10 rankings and earn prizes.
The ZERO Rush Challenge requires players to start from a new save file created during the event period. Players can submit their results through the official participation form using a valid email address and Steam nickname.
First place will receive a game key and a $100 USD Steam gift card. Players finishing between second and fifth place will receive a game key and a $50 USD Steam gift card. Those placing sixth through tenth will receive a game key.
The team will share leaderboard updates throughout the event on June 12, June 19, and June 24 via the official Discord server and social media channels.
In the demo, players can choose from five playable characters: Chrono Child, Blossom Blade, Golden Gunslinger, Windborne Spearmaster, and Scarlet Pirate. The demo currently includes access to the game’s first stage.
Ascend to ZERO will be released on July 13, 2026, for PC via Steam and Xbox, and will be available day one through Xbox Game Pass.
