Playism announced that the bluffman developed indie 8-bit open-world RPG, Artifact Adventure Gaiden DX, will release on PC-via Steam on July 31.
Artifact Adventure Gaiden DX was originally released on Nintendo Switch and mimics systems and graphics similar what is found on retro consoles such as the Nintendo Game Boy. The game features a choice system during dialog and various scenarios that players will encounter on their journey as they shape the outcome of the game. During gameplay, players will need to prepare for the impending disaster that is to take place three years in the future. However, there are consequences to some choices.
The game also features simple battle where players will move right to left across the scrip and slam into enemies to attack them. There are also dodge mechanics. Additionally, there is a customization feature that allows players to customize their characters and level them up with active and passive skills.
Sadly, the game doesn’t have any additional features compared to its Switch counterpart, but there is a 2 player mode for local co-op only and the game will launch at $9.99.
