Modus Games released a new trailer for the Sketchbook Games-developed adventure, Lost Words: Beyond the Page, in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam.
The trailer introduces a magical world called Estoria, where a young girl named Izza finds herself. The game focuses in on Izzy as she is a young writer using her journal to deal with the adventure of life, I can relate. Izzy finds herself balancing the real and imaginary world as literally falls into the pages of her diary coming.
During gameplay, players will find themselves journeying through Izzy’s life and experience the emotional growth that she has to go through. They’ll need to use the words of her diary to make it through the game, but it also features fully realized levels along with giving players a glimpse at her journal. The game feature light platforming section, but if you’re looking for a challenge, you can go out of your way to collect fireflies scattered across Estoria.
Currently, the game doesn’t have a release date, but it is planned to launch sometime this spring.
