Arc System Works to Develop New Nexon Action Game ‘DNF Duel’ Based on Dungeon Fighter Franchise

Nexon revealed DNF Duel during the Dungeon&Fighter Universe Festival in Korea. The game is being co-developed by Neople, a subsidiary of Nexon, and Arc System Works, who have a portfolio of acclaimed fighters.

The two studios will be working together to create a 2D fighting game experience for players that aims to bring the Dungeon&Fighter franchise to more players.

The game very much resembles previous Arc System Works fighters such as Granblue Fantasy Versus but takes on a much darker tone. Additionally, from the teaser reveal trailer, we see that the game is much faster compared to GBFV, which might excite more hardcore fans.

Dungeon&Fighter is an MMO beat ’em up that launched in 2005 on PC in South Korea. The game made its way to the west in 2010, where it was shut down in 2013, and then received a global release in 2015 with English support. There’s also an anime based on the franchise.

Nexon, known for PC and mobile titles, has not announced platforms for this title yet. However, we assume the game will launch on PC, but more details are set to release later.

For now, you can watch the reveal trailer below to get a better idea of the action gameplay:
