Arc of Alchemist Digital-Only Release in North America, Physical Release Exclusive to Europe, Coming to PS4 This Winter
Idea Factory International announced that their upcoming RPG Arc of Alchemist will release on PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe in winter 2019.
Strangely, the game will be a digital-only release in North America but released physically and digitally in Europe. This digital exclusivity in North America isn’t something that the company is known for and we’ve reached out to the publisher for clarification on this matter and are waiting for a response.
The team has shared on their Twitter, “Hello everyone! We would like to let our fans know that because we are a small company, this was a decision we had to make in order to be able to bring the game over to the West. But please know that we do have more special news for the title coming soon!”
Additionally, the publisher released new screenshots of the game showing the seamless battle system and characters.
In Arc of Alchemist, you take on the role of Quinn Bravesford who must explore a vast desert, known as the Desert of Beginnings, to find the Great Power — the legendary key that’ll save not only her kingdom but also, humanity. According to legends of yore, if the Lunagear, an ancient alchemic drive, is equipped with four orbs the Great Power will be unlocked.
Quinn posses the Lunagear, however, she only has one orb in it. With the threat of dangerous creatures and machines wandering the desert, and one of the enemy nations, the Principality of Neuhaven, also on the search for the Great Power, Quinn and her band of allies have no choice but to fight and find the three missing orbs in hopes of obtaining the Great Power to rescue humanity from the brink of oblivion.
