NekoNyan announced that the Sprite developed adventure visual novel Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue will add a Nintendo Switch release to its upcoming western localization, also coming to PC in 2019.
Slated for a 2020 release, the publisher revealed that the game’s current crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter reached a stretch goal of 80,000€ (around $90,000 USD) to secure a digital Switch release in the west.
Additionally, the Switch version of the game contains a Music Gallery Mode where you can replay BGM tracks from the game, a Sprite Viewer, which allows players to create scenes with best girl, and a Voice Line bookmark, where players can store their favorite voiced lines. There’s also some quality of life features such as a chapter skip function.
Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue tells the story of a world where people have the ability to fly through the air using special shoes. Also, a popular sport known as Flying Circus is currently all the rage. The story follows Masaya Hinata who was once a prodigy who turned his back on the sport after suffering a defeat although there is another reason. During the story, his passion ends up being reignited after he finds himself teaching a transfer student, Asuka Kurashina, how to fly.
