Visual Novel ‘Aokana: Four Rhythms Extra2’ Officially Announced as Sprite’s Newest Project

Following the Japanese release of Aokana: Four Rhythms Perfect Edition in November 2018, visual novel developer Sprite announced that they will be disbanding with no plans to regroup. However, those plans changed after the team announced they would be getting back together for a new project in November 2019.

The developer has officially revealed they are working on Aokana: Four Rhythms Extra2. The developer has also taken feedback from fans not to shorten the length of the story, regardless of the price. This means that the cost of the game at launch will be a little more the Extra1, and will be announced later.

The developer is also hosting a giveaway for fans to win a poster signed by Yuri Konno.

At this time, Aokana: Four Rhythms Extra2 has not been given a western release, but given the popularity of the title, it’s probably only a matter of time. The series will also see a release in the west on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Aokana EXTRA1 follows the events after Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue. However, the story focuses on Mashiro, who is one of the most popular characters in the series.
