Aokana EXTRA2 Western Release Announced by NekoNyan
NekoNyan has announced the western release of Aokana EXTRA2. The visual novel fandisc focused on Misaki Tobisawa was released in Japan on May 27, 2022, and we’re likely going to see it soon in English on PC. NekoNyan hasn’t revealed a planned release date yet, but the game is already 100% translated by TBAC, who was also responsible for the Misaki route in the main game.
Aokana, also known as Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm, is a visual novel about a group of girls who play a unique sport known as Flying Circus. In a world where anti-gravitational tech has become commonplace, soaring through the sky has also given birth to this competition.
The player assumes the role of Masaya Hinata, a schoolmate of these girls who ends up taking the mantle of their coach. As someone who gave up on playing Flying Circus due to his personal circumstances, he sees himself going back to the place he belonged, now from another angle.
While the original Aokana game features routes for four girls, two of them were picked by the Japanese players to receive fandiscs. While EXTRA1 featured Mashiro, EXTRA2 will allow fans to get more time with Misaki to see how she and Masaya fare after the events of her route -which was the darkest story of the original game.
