Anthem Developers Layout Plans to Support Their Game Post-Launch
Bioware developers have updated their blog with more insight on their plans to support Anthem with post-launch content.
In Anthem, developers are calling their update “Acts”. Acts will include new content, features, and quality of life fixes along with advancing the game’s storyline through new locations and characters.
In March, players can expect Act 1 where the team will open an event known as Cataclysm. This limited time event will include extreme weather, difficult enemies and story-based mysteries to solve. Future Acts will be announced at a later date.
The team also adds, “Anthem is designed to be a living, changing world, so that your experience constantly evolves over time. What you’ll play at launch involves a substantial storyline, but the end of that story is really just the beginning of the ongoing adventures you’ll have in Anthem.”
In case you missed it, check out part 1 and part 2 of the video series along with our hands-on preview coverage of the game.
Additionally, the team has detailed what players can expect in terms of updates after the game launches:
Anthem allows players to explore a world with their friends as they take on a compelling single-player story campaign. Players will be able to customize their very own mech-like suit known as a Javelin to which they can traverse the world and take on powerful enemies.
Anthem is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 22.
Author’s take: Support is nice, but the pricing structure might be questionable.
