Visual Novel ‘Animal Trail Girlish Square Love+Plus’ and ‘Animal Trail Girlish Square 2’ Coming West to PC Soon

During Anime Central 2023, Sekai Project announced they will publish the Whrilpool-developed romance visual novels Animal Trail Girlish Square Love+Plus and Animal Trail Girlish Square 2 on PC in the West.

Animal Trail Girlish Square Love+Plus is a fandisc featuring short stories of the characters from Animal Trail Girllish Square. The stories focus on Haneru and Tetora. The publisher has confirmed translation for the title is finished, and the game is undergoing QA.

Animal Trail Girlish Square 2 is a sequel to the original game, which was released in August 2022. This entry focuses on the heroines Shirayuki and Kumi. The publisher has also confirmed this title is fully translated and is entering QA.

Both game feature adult content, but we are assuming the Steam release will be the all-ages version. The story follows a group of idols who are actually magical girls in need of an energy source called “Pal” which is released by humans in times of immense joy. Players assume the role of a protagonist who manages them to stardom. They’ve been accepted into the Tokyo New Idol Festival for a shot at the big times.
