Animal Crossing: New Horizons Halloween Event Features Pumpkins, Costumes and Cooperative Updates
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is receiving a free update for all players on September 30, which consists of the widely anticipated Halloween Event.
This event includes various new activities such as growing pumpkins for decorating and harvesting, wearing unique costumes and cosmetics from the Ables Sisters shop, and exchanging Nook Miles, respectively. The Revisiting Dreams feature will also be updated, allowing players to visit islands from a list so that the process of visiting friends’ islands is not as cumbersome.
After 5 PM on October 31, the plaza will be adorned with Halloween decorations, and the mysterious guest, Jack, the “czar of Halloween,” will come by to visit players. By exchanging candy with this NPC, players can earn in-game rewards related to the holiday in question.
One other detail to take note of is that the Nooklink service in the Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app is also receiving an update. This will allow players to perform Reactions in the game, giving the event even more flair.
Lastly, for any hardcore Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans, collectors, or those lacking a Nintendo Switch, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo Switch version is being restocked at participating retailers. This custom Nintendo Switch, priced at $299.99, includes pastel green and blue Joy-Con controllers, and a white Nintendo Switch dock with images of Tom Nook, and Nooklings Timmy and Tommy.
