Nintendo shared a mini-trailer for their sim-adventure Animal Crossing: New Horizons, coming to Nintendo Switch on March 20.
The trailer is only 30-seconds but gives players an idea of what they are going into. It seems Tom Nook is advertising this new playable region to players and NPCs as an exotic getaway to start a new life. Dubbing his presentation as the “Deserted Island Getaway Package,” players can probably expect debt to tied to this vacation. The trailer then shows the deserted island as players will need to create their community from scratch, which requires them to use the island’s natural resources.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons features many of the elements of gameplay that the series has introduced over the years. Players will play a nonlinear life sim in real-time. Throughout the game, they will make friends, get a job, craft, go on adventures, and pretty much do whatever they want for as long as they want. Sadly, it seems that new debt will need to be paid off in this game, which is also a recurring staple.
With not much else to go on, we’re sure to hear more about Animal Crossing: New Horizons in the coming months.
