Animal Crossing: New Horizon Developers Discuss What They’d Bring to a Deserted Island
Nintendo shared a video featuring the developers of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, coming to Nintendo Switch on March 20.
The video is meant to be a little fun as it features director Aya Kyogoku and producer Hisashi Nogami answering questions about what they would bring to a deserted island. Kyogoku-san stats that she would bring rice because there will most likely be nuts and fish on the island, so she is just thinking about making good meals. Nogami-san also wanted rice but changed his answer to potatoes in hopes that he can harvest them.
Interestingly, when asked about what video game they’d bring Nogami-san wanted Splatoon 1 and 2, but also requested that wi-fi be available on the island. Kyogoku-san said she’d bring Super Famicom Mini.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons features many of the elements of gameplay that the series has introduced over the years. Players will play a nonlinear life sim in real-time. Throughout the game, they will make friends, get a job, craft, go on adventures, and pretty much do whatever they want for as long as they want. Sadly, it seems that new debt will need to be paid off in this game, which is also a recurring staple.
