Animal Crossing and Luigi’s Mansion Have Been Confirmed For Switch in 2019
During their Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced that they are working on sequels to two notable IPs for Nintendo Switch, Animal Crossing for Nintendo Switch and Luigi’s Mansion 3, both working titles.
Animal Crossing for Nintendo Switch will be a new mainline title in the Animal Crossing franchise, the most recent entry being Animal Crossin: New Leaf on Nintendo 3DS in 2013. There isn’t much information about the game other than Tom Nook will once again be putting people in debt selling homes in 2019.
Additionally, Luigi’s Mansion 3 was revealed in a new trailer showing Luigi cautiously making his way around a haunted mansion and taking out ghosts. Some gameplay was shown that definitely looks like the game has had a substantial visual overhaul. The game is planned to be a Nintendo Switch exclusive out in 2019.

Author’s take: Both of these games hold a special place in my heart since they were prominent in my early teen gaming years. The Anime Crossing series especially is one that I’m interested to see how the team will tackle the online connected Nintendo that we’ve been getting lately, but hasn’t been something too necessary in the franchise. Additionally, Luigi’s Mansion 3 just looks like silly fun.
