Amazon Nearing Deal for Live Action Mass Effect Adaptation

Mass Effect has been in various media, be it games, books, or comics. There has always been a tease about a movie surrounding the universe and the characters we have come to love. Names have been attached and then detached, and the project has been in development hell since the rumors first started circulating.

Based on a report by Deadline, Amazon is now attempting to bring the Milky Way to life in a way that fans have wanted. Reports say that a deal could be just around the corner to get Mass Effect to streaming services. However, details have been sparse about what the adaptation will entail. So whether we get to see Seth Green reprise his iconic role is yet to be seen.

I am tentatively excited for this news as Amazon has been doing wonders for other adaptations such as The Boys and The Wheel of Time. So, this new series could be a shot in the arm and reveal details that would lead up to the upcoming Mass Effect title. It could even venture into Andromeda, where only a few have braved the rough terrain and tired faces. Either way, I’ll be looking out to see where exactly Amazon plans to take us.
