VR Visual Novel ‘ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos’ Gets New Story Trailer With Release Date

MyDearest released new gameplay for their VR visual novel, ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos, coming to Oculus devices on December 3.

The trailer highlights moments of the game where players will interact with the world as they progress the narrative. Presented as an “interactive mecha anime,” players will find mecha designs from creator I-IV (Aldnoah.Zero, 86, Re:Creators). Additionally, the visual novel features battles that branch the narrative and relationships that deepen through choices.

ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos introduces several new sci-fi components to the game’s world. Players assume the role of a genetically enhanced super-soldier named Chloe, who battles against creatures known as Meteora. The game features numerous narrative paths that players can access through dialogue along with several different endings. Chloe’s goal is to save the human race and bring vengeance for her friend.

ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos features action-focused sequences of mech battles, exploration, and a choice-driven narrative. Character designer LAM also returns to the project to bring updated character designs for this new sci-fi adventure.

ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos will be available on the Oculus Platform with English and Japanese voice acting and Chinese (Simplified), German, and French subtitles.
