Psychological Horror Game ‘Alone in the Dark’ Releasing for PS5, Xbox Series X|S & PC October 2023; Free Prologue Now Available
THQ Interactive and Pieces Interactive announced that their upcoming Lovecraftian psychological horror title, Alone in the Dark, will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on October 25, 2023.
Additionally, prospective purchasers can play through a free Prologue on the aforementioned platforms. Throughout this brief teaser, fans can experience the terrors of the Derceto Manor and an unspecified special surprise at the end.
Alone in the Dark is a remake of the original where players must navigate a nightmare through the eyes of two protagonists, Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood. This is set to be a re-imaging of the classic release with an emphasis on its psychological horror themes.
During gameplay, players will explore various environments, fight monsters, solve puzzles, and uncover the mystery of the Derceto Manor.
The story picks up after Emily Hartwood’s uncle has gone missing. She pairs up with the investigator, Edward Carnby, to investigate the Derceto Manor, a home for the mentally ill. Players will encounter strange residents, nightmarish realms, and dangerous monsters and ultimately uncover the plot of rising evil.
