Alone in the Dark Delayed by 3 Months to January 2024 to Avoid a Crowded October
THQ Interactive has announced that their upcoming horror reboot, Alone in the Dark, has been delayed to January 16, 2024, a roughly three-month delay from the previous October 15, 2023, release date. The reasoning given for this delay is so the team can ensure the game thrives the most it can, as the crowded month of October would have taken considerable attention away from it.

Alone in the Dark is a remake of the original where players must navigate a nightmare through the eyes of two protagonists, Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood. This is set to be a re-imaging of the classic release with an emphasis on its psychological horror themes.
During gameplay, players will explore various environments, fight monsters, solve puzzles, and uncover the mystery of the Derceto Manor.
The story picks up after Emily Hartwood’s uncle has gone missing. She pairs up with the investigator, Edward Carnby, to investigate the Derceto Manor, a home for the mentally ill.
