Daybreak Game Company and Cold Iron Studios have released a new co-op showcase trailer for Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, confirming that the third-person survival shooter will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on August 25, 2026. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is planned for this fall.
The sequel increases the squad size from three to four players, placing teams of Colonial Marines against groups of Xenomorphs across locations based on the Alien franchise. Cold Iron Studios says the game will feature expanded squad mechanics, changes to enemy behavior, and a customizable Specialist class.
The Digital Standard Edition will cost $49.99, while the 40th Anniversary Premium Edition will be available for $69.99. Players who purchase the standard edition can buy the Premium Edition upgrade separately for $19.99.
The Premium Edition includes two DLC packs based on characters from across the franchise. The Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack includes an outfit based on Ellen Ripley’s appearance in Aliens, a modified pulse rifle, decals, and other cosmetic items. The Herk’s Mondo Pest Pack features a themed outfit, another modified pulse rifle, and additional customization options inspired by the comic book character.
A separate Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack will also be available on August 25 for $9.99. The pack is based on Alien: Romulus protagonist Rain Carradine and includes a Colony outfit, modified Cryo weapon, traits, perks, augments, decals, and color options.
The original Aliens: Fireteam Elite launched in 2021 as a three-player cooperative shooter. Its sequel expands the squad size while adding new class customization and team-based mechanics.
