Alchemic Dungeons DX Announced for Switch and PC With Updated Visuals and Audio

Flyhigh Works announced that the Q-Cumber Factory developed roguelike RPG Alchemic Dungeons DX will release on Nintendo Switch and PC-via Steam on February 14.

Alchemic Dungeons DX is a roguelike RPG that first launch as a 3DS eShop exclusive in 2017. The Switch and PC version of the game will be “retro” enhanced with the addition of four new characters along with new items and dungeons to explore. This brings the full cast of playable characters to 8 and item creation has been given a bit more depth.

Additionally, the visuals and audio have also been enhanced for this updated version.

In Alchemic Dungeons DX, players will explored randomly generated dungeons with a turn-based style of movement and combat. The game feature 8-bit style graphics along with a crafting system for players to create a variety of different items to use. Given the genre, there’s a bit of challenge to be found while exploring since the game does encourage the player to get as far into the dungeon as they can. The new characters and items will give returning players new options to play through the game again.

The publisher also released a new trailer showing the updated gameplay along with new screenshots:

Author’s take: I’m just wondering if there’s a story to this or if it’s just a game that is more of an endurance race to see how far you can get.
