Remedy Entertainment has announced that Alan Wake 2 has surpassed 3 million copies sold worldwide. The new milestone was disclosed as part of the Finnish developer’s half-year financial report for January through June 2026.
Consumer sales continued at the pace it expected alongside Alan Wake Remastered. Royalties generated by the two games during the quarter came entirely from consumer sales.
The original Control is also still selling. Remedy reported year-over-year sales growth for the game during the second quarter, with renewed interest coming alongside the marketing campaign for its sequel, CONTROL Resonant.
CONTROL Resonant has accumulated over 1.5 million wishlists across platforms as of August 11, while preorders have shown encouraging early momentum.
Elsewhere, the Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake remains in full production at Rockstar Games, while another unannounced Remedy project has reached the production-readiness stage. The studio plans to self-publish its own upcoming IP, with Control and Alan Wake remaining central to its long-term strategy.
CONTROL Resonant will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 24, 2026.
