Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed Director’s Cut Will Receive a Limited Physical Edition in the West on Switch

XSEED Game announced they will publish a physical release of Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed Director’s Cut in the west on Switch in North America when it releases summer 2023.

The limited physical Day 1 Edition will be available for an MSRP of $39.99 on the XSEED Games Store and at participating retailers in North America.

The physical release includes:

• An outer box with maid Kati
• A musical selections CD
• 9 commemorative oversized art cards

Pre-orders are coming soon. The number of units available was not revealed.

The publisher confirmed this release will feature a new story route for the Finnish exchange student, otaku, and part-time maid Kati Räikkönen considered the “true ending” for the game. PS4 and PC owners of the original release will also be able to purchase this as a standalone DLC. The Switch version will include this new content.

All DLC from the original release will be included in the Director’s Cut as well, including collaborations with other companies. Owners of the original game on PlayStation 4 and PC will be able to upgrade to the Director’s Cu, depending on if they want the Kati route DLC or the four new costumes from Hellbound & Debriefed.

Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed Director’s Cut was initially released in 2014. The game tells the story of Akiba Freedom Fighters who defend otaku from vampires that roam the streets. To do this, they must strip the vampires to expose them to the sun. The game is fully voiced, which can also be found in the new maid raid for Kati.
