Sekai Project shared an update on Akaneiro ni Somaru Saka during Anime Expo 2026, announcing that a Steam demo is now available while reaffirming plans to release the full visual novel on PC via Steam in 2026.
Sekai Project also announced a new merchandising collaboration with Frontwing. The collection will be available through Denkai Shoten and Amazon in 2026. The collaboration celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Grisaia series, which Sekai Project previously helped bring to English audiences through a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2018.
The romance visual novel from feng was originally announced for English release in 2021 after Sekai Project acquired the developer’s game library. According to the publisher, quality assurance work is still in progress, but the project remains on track for its planned 2026 release.
Akaneiro ni Somaru Saka follows Nagase Junichi, whose quiet school life changes after learning that his arranged fiancée, Katagiri Yuuhi, has transferred to his school. Their reunion goes poorly, leading both of their parents to require the pair to spend time together before deciding if they should end their engagement. As Junichi adjusts to life alongside Yuuhi, a series of unexpected events begins disrupting his daily routine.
Players interested in trying the visual novel early can download the newly released demo through its Steam page.
