Adventure Visual Novel ‘AI: The Somnium Files’ Gets New Gameplay Trailer Along With Special Agent Edition Details
Spike Chunsoft released a new video for their upcoming visual novel adventure AI: The Somnium Files, coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 17 in North America and September 19 in Europe.
The “ultimate” gameplay trailer highlights the two modes of gameplay within the adventure visual novel, Investigation and Somnium. During gameplay, players assume the role of Special Agent Kaname Date and must travel between the real world and the dream world to search for clues that will lead to the capture of a serial killer.
The trailer also details the AI: The Somnium Files Special Agent Edition’s outer box art, which features new A-set (everyone’s favorite idol) designed by character designer Yusuke Kozaki (everyone’s favorite character designer) along with a 39-track soundtrack. Day-One Editions of the game will also include 2 vinyl stickers.
AI: The Somnium Files tells the story of detective Kaname Date who is investigating a mysterious serial killer. Dante investigates these crime scenes by looking over the physical setting as well as peering into dreams to look for clues. One day, Dante arrives at a crime scene and recognizes a woman that he knows from somewhere. He then hears a noise from inside of a merry-go-round and finds a young girl with a bloody ice pick in her hand.
