AI: The Somnium Files Details Characters: Date, Aiba, Boss, and Pewter

Spike Chunsoft released new information for AI: The Somnium Files which will launch worldwide for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam on July 25.

The information comes from an official update on the game’s official website where players can learn more about the characters and story from the upcoming mystery visual novel.

The new information details the main characters:

• Kaname Date – a Psyncer who uses the Psync machine to dive into the minds of suspects or persons of interest. Evidentally, he lost his eye and memories six years prior and had it replaced with a prosthetic one which house advanced artificial intelligence. He calls it an AI-Ball.
• Aiba (2nd Form) – Doubling as Date’s AI-Ball, Aiba resides in Date’s left eye socket. Her consciousness and Date’s are linked. In the real world, she takes the form of a small animal. However, while in the Psync world she takes a human form.
• Boss – Date’s superior and long-time friend. She’s an optimist with a carefree attitude.
• Pewter – An engineer at ABIS. He is responsible for maintaining the Psync machine and invented Aiba.
