Adventure Visual Novel ‘AI: The Somnium Files’ Gets Delayed to “Ensure the Best Product Possible”

Spike Chunsoft announced that AI: The Somnium Files will be delayed from it’s planned July 25 release date to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on Sempter 17 in North America and September 19 in Europe.

The publisher has also added a statement of apology for the delay stating:

We deeply apologize for the change, but we would like to assure the community that it was necessary to ensure the best product possible. We know our fans are eagerly anticipating this title, and we will continue to strive to meet your expectations.

AI: The Somnium Files tells the story of detective Kaname Date who is investigating a mysterious serial killer. Dante investigates these crime scenes by looking over the physical setting as well as peering into dreams to look for clues. One day, Dante arrives at a crime scene and recognizes a woman that he knows from somewhere. He then hears a noise from inside of a merry-go-round and finds a young girl with a bloody ice pick in her hand.

Directed by Kotaro Uchikoshi and with character designs by Yusuke Kozaki, this thrilling neo-noir detective adventure unfolds.
