Aggro Crab, the developer behind PEAK, Another Crab’s Treasure, Going Under, and Crashout Crew, is expanding into game publishing. Its first announced publishing project is Rebounder, a precision platformer developed by ThirtyThree for PC via Steam in 2027.
The announcement arrives ahead of PAX West 2026, where Rebounder will have a new playable demo at Aggro Crab’s booth.
Rebounder follows a worker who arrives at a remote lunar worksite looking for employment. Rebounders are contract workers tasked with transporting valuable cargo across hazardous terrain, requiring players to run lines from one location to another.
Platforming revolves around grabbing, throwing, and bouncing off alien plants and other creatures. Players can chain trick shots, ricochets, wall slides, and other movements while avoiding hazards. Equipment includes detachable jetpacks, bazookas, and fish.
It’s all influenced by speedrunning and kaizo platformers, with rapid respawns and unlimited attempts. It features more than 500 handcrafted screens spread across six chapters, alongside optional platforming challenges and accessibility settings. Its visual presentation draws from vintage science-fiction comics and physical print techniques such as Ben Day dots, ink bleed, and misregistration.
Aggro Crab is now accepting submissions from other developers after the success of PEAK put the company in a position to expand its catalog without significantly increasing its internal development team.
Aggro Crab is primarily looking for projects requiring $500,000 or less in funding that can be completed within two years. It isn’t limiting submissions to a particular genre, though the publisher is prioritizing stylized, high-intensity games that fit alongside its existing catalog. The company also explicitly states that it isn’t interested in projects using generative AI.
