Age of Empires II Definitive Edition Release Window Revealed

Today at Microsoft’s E3 conference, a gameplay trailer was shown for Age of Empire II Definitive Edition, and the game is coming to PC and Xbox One via Xbox Game Pass sometime this Fall.

As the definitive edition, fans of the original game and new players alike will be able to return to Age of Empires II in a whole new way. There was Age of Empire II HD released on Steam a bit ago, so we’re assuming that the definitive edition will be just like the Steam re-release, but bigger and better.

Via a recent Age of Empires blog post, it mentions that players will be able to experience stunning 4K Ultra HD graphics, a new, fully remastered soundtrack, and new civilizations. It’s safe to say that Age of Empires II‘s expansions are going to be included in the definitive edition as well. The original Age of Empires II was developed by Ensemble Studios.
