Adventure Visual Novel ‘Liar Trick’ Receives Steam Release in English
Anabasis announced that their adventure visual novel Liar Trick: Psychological Crime Mystery is available now on PC-via Steam.
Liar Trick: Psychological Crime Mystery initially launched in July in Japan but now features an English text option for western fans to play. During gameplay, players will note a character’s facial expressions using three modes, Analysis Mode, Liar Mode, and Deduction Mode. Throughout the game’s crime scenes, players will need to determine who is suspicious while interrogating witnesses. Still, not everyone is guilty, so deducing the culprit will solve the case and reveal the truth.
Liar Trick: Psychological Crime Mystery features three cases, which each revolve around a different incident. Players will assume the role of Patrick, who will be assigned cases along with his assistant, Aska. The crime scenes each vary and feature a handful of possible suspects. One thing we’ve taken notice of is just how much of a hunk Patrick is, who’s last name is “Truth.” Coincidence? I think not.
There’s a handful of support characters who will play a role in each of the cases. Additionally, they may also lend a hand in the investigations.
