Narrative-Driven Adventure ‘Stories Untold’ Gets Switch Release Date

Devolver Digital announced that the No Code-developed narrative-driven adventure game, Stories Untold, will launch on Nintendo Switch on January 16.

To celebrate the announcement the publisher released a new trailer that shows some of the game’s atmospheric gameplay. The trailer also highlights that the game is making its way to Switch.

Originally released in 2017 on PC, Stories Untold is a narrative-driven experiment adventure game that is meant to bend the genre into a unique experience for the players. The story is set in England, 1986 where the player will begin the first of four stories. The game combines a mix of classic text-adventure and point-and-click elements to immerse the players in its world. Gameplay has the player interact with computers and switch between viewpoints in order to progress the narrative.

The game is told over 4 short stories, each of which will be included in the Switch release. Each story is seemingly stand-alone until the player pieces together elements of each that will connect them in some way. Currently, the game holds a Very Positive review standing from users on Steam. Some users pointing the retro-aesthetic and atmosphere of the game as one of its strongest features.
