Tranquil Adventure ‘Kibu’ Announced for PC, Releasing 2024; Features Tea-Brewing

During the Wholesome Direct, solo developer Jonas Manke, known for Omno, and publisher Future Friends Games, announced their new adventure game Kibu, releasing for PC via Steam in 2024.

Players will control a monk seeking the land’s ancient spirits across several unique environments while building and customizing a temple and brewing teas. Further, a “tactile, flowing combat system” is featured alongside farming, foraging, and harvesting via garden cultivation. The teas you brew will also have diverse effects as well.

Jonas Manke shared the following statement regarding this announcement:

“Following on from the success of Omno has been a real journey in itself, working through many concepts and prototypes to try to find ‘the one.’ As soon as I landed on the idea of Kibu, a solitary monk building a temple and making his way in the world, I knew it was the one. It’s been so enjoyable taking the things players loved most about Omno – journeying through vibrant, mysterious lands – and developing this with new ideas and gameplay systems that should help bring the world I’m creating to life in a whole new way. I can’t wait to see what the world of Kibu becomes!”

You can now wishlist this game on Steam.
